El número de pacientes pendiente de una consulta externa en el Hospital de Albacete subió en 683 durante el mes de enero y son ya 2.654, según los datos que hoy ha publicado el portal del propio SESCAM. Además, se redujo en unos 300 los pacientes pendientes de una operación pero siguen siendo más de 8.100.
Oftalmología tiene más de 1.100 pacientes en lista de espera y en diciembre eran 650. Las listas de determinadas especialidades se pueden incrementar tanto cuando se ‘abren’ los buzones de espera. Una práctica que, como hemos venido denunciando, suele ocurrir con frecuencia y en los Centros de Salud dejan en la ‘casilla’ las peticiones de consulta hasta que les dan cita. Mientras tanto, esos buzones no cuentan en las listas de espera.
Esperando cita para el otorrino hay 473 pacientes, también muchos más que en diciembre. Cabe recordar que hace unas semanas un paciente denunciaba que no le daban cita porque estaba «en el buzón de espera, con las listas cerradas».
Para las operaciones, con 2.067 pacientes, Traumatología tiene el peor dato en el Hospital de Albacete.
