Más de 8.500 albaceteños seguían en septiembre, como en agosto, pendientes de una operación en el Hospital de Albacete. Traumatología, con 2.123 pacientes en lista de espera, volvía a ser la especialidad con más pacientes pendientes de ser operados en la ciudad, mientras que Cirugía Plástica, con casi 330 días de espera media es la especialidad que más tarda en llamar a sus pacientes para que pasen por el quirófano.
Las listas de espera en consultas externas se reducen notablemente, desde las algo más de 1.400 a menos de 800, si bien nos siguen llegando denuncias de pacientes que están pendientes de una cita en consultas externas y que no se la dan «porque los buzones están cerrados». Por lo tanto, esos pacientes, no computan en las listas, pero sus peticiones del médico de cabecera para que los atienda un especialista sí se acumulan en los «buzones» de los centros de salud a los que pertenecen.
